I love this sun! It’s such a fresh unisex sent that smells lovely on its own, but also layers really nicely.

My initial impression of Essence Vanille was, “Whoa, way too sweet!” I typically don’t like overly sweet fragrances: they give me a headache. But I kept trying the fragrances and essences in the discovery kit over several days, together and separately. As someone who prefers to fragrances that fall into the “fresh/clean/skin” categories the Essence Mandarine was an no-brainer immediate favorite. It took some time for the Vanille to grow on me. I can now pick out the zesty note note from the lime, which provides a fresh counterpoint to the creaminess of the vanilla. It’s now my favorite vanilla.

When I ordered the discovery set, the Essence Mandarine was an immediate favorite. No surprises there, as I have long been drawn to citrusy scents. This is a true unisex fragrance and adds a fresh zesty note when used in layering.

For the fragrances, I initially thought I liked Montmartre Midi the best. Over the next several days, I experimented with different layering combos, as well as trying the fragrances separately. And discovered I was really enjoying the Jardin du Luxembourg and preferred it over Montmartre.

The word that comes to mind when describing Jardin is FRESH - it’s a very fresh fragrance - perfect for the spring/summer or for anybody who does NOT like “oriental” fragrances. Anything too sweet, warm, spicy, amber-y and woody projects way too much on my skin and gives me a headache.

I love that Jardin de Luxembourg ticks all the boxes for me, and is a sophisticated, multidimensional fragrance that has great lasting power.

I am very sensitive to purfumes due to getting headaches and am very hesitant about buying anything. After testing all of the Marste scents, I was pleasantly surprised that I liked and had no negative reaction to most of these fragrances. Out of them all, Essence Vanille is my favorite. It's Vanilla but but unique as well. We need it in the larger bottle!! I highly recommend!
