I wanted to really love this because I’m such a fan of citrus, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. I can barley pick up any ginger or green mandarin. Pairing with anything, it gets overwhelmed. I get a light skin scent for a few hours, but little projection. Had big hopes for other Marste too, but not so sure now. Edit: I wanted to give it another chance, so I tried several layering combos- it gets overwhelmed by anything else and disappears. Edit 2: from their return policy, “To ensure you're completely satisfied with your purchase before committing, each fine fragrance includes a complimentary sample for you to test before opening the full-size bottle.” Mine did not include this sample, but that woukd have solved my issue as I definitely would have returned it!

I don’t usually buy perfume but this was really expensive for how much you get. I do like the smaller size as I don’t wear it every day so I don’t want bottles that last years. I love Marlena and want to support, but it took me quite a while to bite the bullet to justify buying this and then when I saw the size... My fault for not looking at the fluid ounces before I bought. I bought the sample set when the line launched and this was the only fragrance I liked. I do like that it’s not super potent, but still lasts a long time. Beautiful packaging if that matters to you.

I heard about The HOUSE OF MARSTÉ from influencers and ordered the discovery collection. ESSENCE MANDARINE stood out for me. The citrusy earthiness of this fragrance is absolutely stunning.
I really love this scent! It’s so refreshing for Spring & Summer! I love the spa at the beautiful Aria hotel in Las Vegas and this scent smells like the Aria spa which I absolutely love! I wish it also came in a 50ml because I’m going to use this up quickly. I get compliments every time I wear it!

I could be blind, but always knew that she had been at our house before I saw her. I would smell it on every birthday or Christmas card that she sprayed it on. She's been long passed, but when I smell a fragrance that reminds me of her, it immediately takes me back to our time together. The world can seem pretty bland, but one thing that differentiates us is our scent. I don't know why, but I pick up on fragrances (as well as voices.) I have purchased several of the House of Marste Fragrances, including Essence de Vanille, Essence de Mandarine, Nuit de Parisienne, and Montemarde Midi. I love them all because I feel that they are unique and made from the finest oils, herbs, flowers, etc.. (Another thing I prefer is not smelling like everyone else.) I may be nose blind, but I don't feel that they last long on my skin. To date, no one has asked what I'm wearing. Is there a trick to make a fragrance linger above your skin?

I love this fragrance! I purchased the sample pack and gravitated to this one and one other. I love the fragrance. It’s orange mixed with sexy and expensive. I don’t know how to describe it, it’s just sexy and delicate!

I couldn't love my fragrance from House of Marsté any more than I do. It's amazing. I don't think it last that long, that would be my only complaint. But I don't like strong perfumes so it works out great for me.
I am actually, genuinely shocked at how good this is. I received it today and I've only had it on for a few hours (I spray on my clothes and not skin, for the longevity), but I've fallen in love already. It is a very creamy, sweet citrus with a detection of apricot and I also detect some vanilla. I don't detect ginger. It is so comforting and delicious. I was NOT expecting it to smell like this. I can't get enough of it and I don't have a single bad thing to say about it. No offense to Marlena, but, I feel like her description of this perfume was INTENSELY off. A lot of adjectives come to mind aside from fresh, clean, light, and airy; I get sweet, innocent but provoking questions about the innocence, alluring, delicious, and addicting. It's 10000000x better than her description (in my VERY strong opinion).
*WARNING* I've noticed with these perfume bottles, they are moderately difficult to pull off the top at first, but it gets easier and easier and pretty quickly, it becomes utterly effortless to pull them off. My advice is to be very careful when pulling them off. I could see how the heavy bottle could easily slip out of the hand and crash on the floor/potentially break (although the glass is very thick). It could also potentially smash onto a body part and cause injury, because the bottle and cap are very heavy. My advice is just be careful opening them when it gets to that point!
I don't often find new scents I love and want to wear daily; I have only 2 or 3 favorites, that have been for years. But this? This. Is. Phenomenal. It's fresh and complex, but not confusing. I can smell subtly sweet honeysuckle softly floating in the background while you walk through a citrus orchard and smell mandarins and tangerines and lemons warmed by the sunlight. It's amazing. It smells like sunlight in a child's hair.
Fresh, delicious, subtle but with presence! The packaging and the bottle are to die for! Such a beautiful presentation. I wear it alone or layering other fragrances, but by itself I get tones of compliments!
